With some excitement we can now announce that Lochinver Village Hall is reopening for the 2021 season and we will be able to hold our Craft & Produce Markets there again. Our first market of the year is Friday the 14th of May! However, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic there are still various rules and restrictions to take account of and the overall situation may change during the course of the year. Any updates will be published here and on our facebook page.
Because of social distancing the number of stalls for each market is going to be reduced until rules can be relaxed, but we aim to offer a variety of crafts, art and produce at each of the dates.
Other Covid related measures in place are:
- face coverings must be worn inside at all times (unless you can show proof of exemption), hand sanitising station at the entrance
- contact details will be taken upon entry to assist with NHS Scotland Test and Protect contact tracing if required. The data collected will be kept for 21 days and then destroyed and not used for any other purpose.
- unfortuately because of restrictions there is no toilet available for the public in the building but public toilets are accessible on Main Street (near the Rockpool) a short walk from the Village Hall
- 2 metre social distancing inside the Hall and there will be a one way route round the stalls
- if it gets very busy you may have to queue outside for a short while so that we don’t exceed the maximum number of people we can accommodate in the space
- some stalls have card facilities others are cash only (an ATM is just outside the Hall)
